FOOD SAFETY

In light of efforts to contain the spread of the coronavirus, many are staying away from grocery stores and restaurants to reduce their risk of infection.

GOCART.CITY  is offering options for door drop-off service so that customers can avoid social contact which can help reduce the risk of person-to-person infection.

HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

GOCART.CITY  is vitally interested in the health and safety of its workers, including the protection of workers from injury or occupational disease.

GOCART.CITY is making every effort to provide a safe, healthy work environment. Every worker also aims to protect his or her own health and safety by working in compliance with the law and with safe work practices and procedures established by our company.

It is in the best interest of all parties to consider health and safety in every activity. Commitment to health and safety is an integral part of our organization.

Food Safety to all Food Safety and Standard Operating

We have a team of experienced Quality Assurance employees working closely with all product for our warehouse distribution and processing facility.

We have developed strategic partnerships with all supply chain partners and our workers to ensure that food being sold to consumers is free from biological, chemical or physical adulterants.

As consumer demand to purchase groceries through e-commerce platforms increases, we continue to improve operational efficiency, meet consumer demands and guarantee food safety.

The safety and quality of our product and our customers' wellbeing is our highest priority.

What are we doing to ensure the virus isn’t transmitted via our drivers?

In addition to our already very high health and safety standards, we have implemented some additional health and safety measures, to ensure that everybody stays healthy. We are also relaying the most up to date recommendations on how to protect oneself and others, based off the World Health Organisation, to our employees, including our drivers.

Our delivery partners have been directed to follow strict hygiene protocols which include frequent hand washing. Drivers have also been advised to stay home if they are feeling sick, exhibit any symptoms of acute respiratory illness or have been in close contact with confirmed cases of infection.

Is there going to be an impact on our supply chain?

There aren’t any disruptions to our current service and our teams are taking the necessary precautions to maintain the safety and well-being of our employees and customers, which is our highest priority. We're monitoring the situation very closely and taking direction from health authorities. Additionally, there is no evidence of transmission of the novel coronavirus through food.

How have we changed our health and hygiene processes since the outbreak? What are we doing to prevent it from spreading?

We have included some strict measures at our workplace in order to keep the spread of the infection to negligible. Various additional hand sanitizing stations are in place now, posted additional hand-washing signs, giving frequent training to our workers about how to prevent COVID-19 spread etc. Our main objective is to keep everyone safe and healthy.

How do we guarantee hygienic packaging and transportation of food?

We have very strict food safety checks in place throughout the process to ensure that you only receive the best ingredients with complete food safety. Quality and Food safety is our ultimate goal.

We have implemented the highest safety standards in our facilities to keep our employees protected and healthy. To all frontline workers, thank you for being there and thank you for helping us serve the essential needs of all Canadians.
